Virtua Racing Deluxe - Sega 32X Review

This game looks and plays identical to the arcade version as far as I can tell.  It runs pretty smooth and fast on the 32X.  There is an option to pick 3 different types of cars and I believe there are 5 different tracks.  The game itself is pretty challenging and it takes awhile to get used to the controls.  You can also pick between automatic and manual transmission for that extra kick of difficulty.  There are different views as well such as in the seat view and very far away view.  There are better racing games out there but this is pretty cool if you remember playing the arcade version.  Overall, I give this game a 6 out of 10.  Nothing special, but fun to play every now and then.

Vectorman - Sega Genesis Review

Platformer for the Genesis that is actually a decent one.  It is another you vs the world style game but that's ok. The animation and game play are very smooth and fluid which makes the game actually enjoyable to play.  Your character Vectorman can jump and shoot a particle beam weapon, very simple but functional.  You can also duck to avoid enemy shots.  The game is set up where once you get to the end of a stage, you fight a boss.  The difficulty is not too bad, I would say well balanced.  Music and sound are on par with the Genesis for its time.  This is not a game I would play all the time because I am not a huge platform genre fan but it is fun to play nonetheless.  Overall, I give it 7 out of 10 stars.  Decent, solid Genesis game, especially if you dig this type of game.
