Cyber-Cop - Sega Genesis Review
I absolutely detest this type of game. I hate when then try to port a PC game like this to a console. WYSIWYG, the screen shots are the entire game, boring and slow. The game is terrible in my opinion. I hate games where you have to switch back and forth and select icons with a pseudo mouse cursor. Keep these types of games on PC, they are a chore to play on a console. The other thing that is bad about this game is the horrible repetitive music that is constantly pumping in the background. Game play is terrible but I do appreciate the level of 3D graphics on a 16 bit console. Overall, I give this game a 2 out of 10. Don't bother playing it unless you like this specific style of game.

Vectorman - Sega Genesis Review
Platformer for the Genesis that is actually a decent one. It is another you vs the world style game but that's ok. The animation and game play are very smooth and fluid which makes the game actually enjoyable to play. Your character Vectorman can jump and shoot a particle beam weapon, very simple but functional. You can also duck to avoid enemy shots. The game is set up where once you get to the end of a stage, you fight a boss. The difficulty is not too bad, I would say well balanced. Music and sound are on par with the Genesis for its time. This is not a game I would play all the time because I am not a huge platform genre fan but it is fun to play nonetheless. Overall, I give it 7 out of 10 stars. Decent, solid Genesis game, especially if you dig this type of game.

Onslaught - Sega Genesis Review
Wow. That's not a good wow. This is an unlicensed game that came out in 1989 and it is terrible to say the least. It is side scrolling platform style. The control is terrible, almost impossible to control. Button presses are laggy and you press up to jump. It is almost impossible to hit someone with your weapon because it is so slow. The levels are so repetitive that it feels like you are making no progress. Also, there is no sound effects, just terrible, repetitive music playing over and over. The game is colorful, and that is about the only thing positive about it. Overall, this game gets 2 out of 10 stars and I am being super generous. I would recommend not to even bother with this game unless you like crap games.

Vapor Trail - Sega Genesis Review
A pretty solid shooter for the Genesis. Moderate difficulty even on the easy setting. You can choose from 3 different planes that have different speeds and shots. Its fun to play with all 3 and master them. I like the idea of the score and info on the side so you can see the whole screen without distractions. I have noticed this feature in a lot of Genesis shoot 'em up games. The only complaint I really have about the game, is that the power ups are few and far between. It seems like it takes at least half of one stage to get a shot power up. Then when you get the power up, it doesn't seem like it is much more powerful. You have to grind for sure to power your ship up. The music in this game is some of the best I have heard on the Genesis but it does get repetitive very quick. Game play is fun and keeps you interested so you want to keep playing. Not the best shooter on the system but solid for sure. Overall, I give it a 7 out of 10 stars, pretty good, but there is room for improvement. I recommend that you try it out.

Frogger - Sega Genesis Review
OK.. I could end the review here. Seriously, who would have paid money for this when it came out? Maybe it is just that I have never liked this game, or the fact that the game is not fun. It seems to be a direct port of the arcade version. Nothing special here, just Frogger on a 16 bit console. It just gets a middle 5 out of 10. I can't really rate it. Your either like it or you don't. I don't care for it at all.

Grind Stormer - Genesis Review
A shoot em up game for the Sega Genesis. I didn't find this one to be particularity that good. It is kind of sluggish at times when there are a lot of sprites on the screen. It is a playable game, just nothing really jumps out about it. I will say that out of all the power ups in the game, the Search power up is the strongest that I have seen. The game play is ok except for the slow down that occurs once or twice a level. The music is alright, on par I guess for Genesis. Overall, I give this one a middle of the road 5 out of 10 stars. Like I said, its playable, just nothing special here.

X-Perts Sega Genesis Review
Late release Genesis game that in my opinion is pretty boring. Released in 1994 and making use of the 6 button controller is X-Perts. The graphics are pretty good but the rest of the game is lacking. It is slow and sluggish, and the game play is terrible. The whole point of the game is that you switch between 3 characters in real time and try to do missions where you disable computers and restart elevators, etc. It gets boring and repetitive after about 10 minutes. Overall, I give this game a 3 out of 10 stars. There is nothing really special about it and it is really not even worth playing.

Space Invaders '91 Genesis Review
An upgraded 16 bit version of a not so great game. The graphics and sound are obviously better with this remake. The game play however is exactly the same. They could have done something to make the game play a little different. You get power ups like lasers and better shields and some of the enemies have to be shot multiple times to kill them. Basically, it is still Space Invaders. Very weak in my opinion and not very fun just like the original. Overall, I give this game 4 out of 10 stars, and I am being extremely generous.

Phantasy Star 3 Sega Genesis Review
I just played through this game again recently and I didn't find it as enjoyable as previously. This game is the 3rd in the series of 4 and it doesn't really pick up where 2 left off. It is kind of a spin off from the series. The graphics and music are pretty good and it is pretty much your typical J-RPG. When you first start the game it seems like it is going to take forever but the game is actually pretty short compared to the other games in the series. The dungeons are not hard and are almost linear. There are only 4 bosses in the game including the end boss. There are techniques in the game but they are almost nonexistent and not really required even to fight the extremely easy bosses. You play through three generations of main characters but the storyline is kind of dry and there is no real attachment to the game at all. I would classify this game as mainly a hack n slash RPG due to the use of mainly weapons and not techniques. Is it a bad game? No. Is it a great game? No. It's just an average game, my least favorite in the series. Overall, I give it a 5 out of 10 stars. Nothing special but semi enjoyable to play through for the hardcore RPG fan.

Wolfchilid Genesis Review
Platformer game for the Genesis similar to Altered Beast. Think of it as Altered Beast on steroids. You are a guy that when you obtain certain power up balls, you turn into a wolf that shoots blue fire. Prior to the wolf / blue fire shooting, your only weapon is your fist. You also have a "kill all enemies on the screen" weapon where it looks like you throw an orb on the ground with lightning. The game itself is not too difficult but it is one of those frustrating games where the levels are designed so that you have to go a certain way to exit. Sometimes you will fall off a ledge and have to go all the way back and do most of the level again. Game play is alright and the graphics and sound / music is pretty good for the Genesis. Overall, I give the game a 5 out of 10. Nothing special going on, just a typical frustrating platformer.

Terminator 2 The Arcade Game Genesis Review
Pretty much a direct port of the arcade game as far as I can see. The game plays exactly the same. The one thing I noticed is that the difficulty seems like it is easier. You can use the controller or the Menacer light gun (which I don't own). The game play is ok, I think there are other ports of this that seem to play better and have better graphics. I guess it seems sluggish at times. A fun two player game to pick up and play from time to time. There are bosses at the end of each stage and weapon upgrades throughout the game. Overall, I give it a 6 out of 10. Solid arcade port, but there are better ports than this.

Olympic Summer Games Sega Genesis Review
Nothing special about this game. Not even a fun game. Graphics are pretty good for the Genesis but the sound and music are terrible. The game play sucks. The game is very hard to control and seems to be very unrealistic. The music that is blasting over everything in the game is horrible. Overall, I give this game a 4 out of 10. Don't go out of your way to play it. It is below average.

Rings Of Power Genesis Review
OK, so I have read other reviews of this game online and people love it. I don't get it. Maybe I am missing something? This game is complete shit and unplayable. I would rather play Dr Mario for hours than play this crap. I love RPGs, but this is beyond destroyed. Number 1, I hate "3D aspect" games, they are difficult to control, always. Number 2, see that controller? It is on the screen constantly, blocking the view of the game. I don't really have anything else to say about this, it is just poor. I give it 1 out of 10 overall. If I am missing something, please let me know and I will play it again <shrug>.

Jordan VS Bird Super One On One Sega Genesis Review
I am not a big fan of basketball video games and this one proves why. The game play is mediocre at best and the game plays slow and is repetitive. There is not much going on here except one on one basketball. It gets tedious and is not really fun to play at all. There is a 3 point contest and a slam dunk contest mode you can play that adds a little more to the game. Overall this game gets a 2 out of 10 stars. There are definitely better basketball video games out there. The graphics and sound seem a little lower than standard for the Genesis as well.

Raiden Trad Sega Genesis Review
Awesome shoot em up. Probably the best on the Genesis. There are only a handful on the Genesis anyway which is sad in itself. This is an arcade port and it seems to be perfect. The only thing that stinks about this version is that there is no two player mode. The game is a top scrolling shooter with power ups. You can switch between regular shot and laser shot. Also you can switch between regular "dumb" missiles and homing missiles. I believe there are 6 or 8 levels of power ups. I am not sure how many levels there are though because I only make it to like the 4th. There are 3 difficulty's, easy, normal, and hard. Easy and Normal don't seem to be much different to me but the Hard setting is pretty challenging. The game has decent graphics, music, and sound for the Genesis and the game play is great. I recommend this game for any shoot em up fan. Overall, I give it a solid 8 out of 10 stars.

Eswat: City Under Seige Sega Genesis Review
This is a port of a decent arcade game. This game however is not very good. It is nothing like the arcade version at all. They made it into a completely different game. No score, no time limit, almost non existent power ups. The game starts off looking and playing like the arcade game but then after about 2 minutes you realize it is not the same game. It is very boring. It was turned into a adventure platformer instead of arcade side scroller. The point of the game is to clear stages and collect robot suit pieces to turn into the ultimate swat team robot. There is an option menu at the start with a difficulty select between easy, normal, and hard. There is also a sound / music test. The graphics and sound are about on par with an early Genesis release, nothing special going on. The game play is not too bad, its just not what you expect out of the game. Overall, I give it a 3 out of 10.

Twin Cobra Sega Genesis Review
This game does not use any "blast processing". It is a slow shoot 'em up. Not too bad of a game in my opinion. It reminds me of Raiden a lot, almost a sister game to Raiden. I am not 100 percent sure but I think this is an arcade port. There are not too many good shoot 'em ups on the Genesis but this one is pretty good. It is your standard "you vs everyone else" style game. Power ups are shot upgrades, bombs, and switchers that switch between bullets, lasers, and some weird blue plasma type weapon. There is a configure option menu on the title screen that lets you switch difficulty, how many lives you start with, what scores give you a free life, and background music. The music and sound effects in this game are pretty decent for the Genesis and the graphics are about what you would expect from an arcade port shoot 'em up. This is not a game I would play all the time but is fun from time to time to throw in and play for about 30 min to an hour or so. Overall, I give this one a 7 out of 10. Check it out for sure if you love shoot 'em ups like I do, but don't get your hopes up too much because I wouldn't even put this one in the top 20 of shoot 'em ups.

Pac-Man 2: The New Adventures Genesis Review
I try to give every game I play an equal chance. This turd of a game is one of the worst I have ever played in my life. I sat through about 30 minutes of this crap and it was all I could stomach. I mean seriously, just keep pumping out crap games and put the pac-man franchise name on it and people will buy it? The game play is absolutely horrible and a chore to even play. Pac-man walks around aimlessly while you have a sling shot to hit things on the screen to make him do different tasks. He acts t\like the biggest wuss in the world too, whining and complaining. Stay away from this game, period, unless you like torture and non fun. Overall I give it a 1 out of 10 stars. It did not get a zero rating due to the fact that the music and graphics are almost halfway decent.
